1 Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp!
4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
Psalm 150:1-6 (NKJV)
Companions,
Hallelujah is a transliteration of two Hebrew words that mean ‘praise the Lord’. Psalm 150 is the last one in the Book of Psalms and exclaims Hallelujah in each verse. Our M.I.G.M. asked me to write this series of 52 weekly messages and I could not think of a better way to end this than for all of us to read and think about this psalm. We cannot always know how we fit in God’s plan but scripture tells us that it is always for our good – and for that we should all Praise the LORD!
Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, we praise your holy name and thank you for the many blessings we receive. Your thoughts and your ways are so much higher than we can comprehend or imagine but we do know that you are mightily to be praised. Amen.
