Message from the Associate Grand Chaplain, I. Jack A. Holloway – Week 42

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 118:1

Companions,
Because death and distress are inevitable in the world we live in, so is mourning. It does us no good to wonder why a situation is or has happened. We must trust that God is good, and His plan is for our best interest. Reading scripture will teach us the promises of God and prepare us for days of mourning. Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth while the evil days come not. This week I will let the prayer be the lesson.

Thank You Father, for the promise of your care during this season of my life. You have allowed this circumstance for a good reason. Help me to use this time appointed by You in a way that deepens my trust in you. Amen.
