Message from the Associate Grand Chaplain, I. Jack A. Holloway – Week 29

1I will extol thee, my God and King, and bless thy name for ever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless thee, and praise thy name for ever and ever.
3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall laud thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. Psalm 145:1-7

Companions,
As Brother Masons and Council Companions, we are very aware of passing on information and traditions through the generations. We practice ritual and rehearse lectures so we can pass this on to new generations of Brothers, Companions and Knights through our degree work. Christmas is one of the times of the year when many of us gather together with our own family generations to celebrate and enjoy the season. In the excitement of gifts and games, telling old tales and munching on meals it is easy to get sidetracked from the true reason we are celebrating. Let us pass on to the generations of our families, and to all those who are observing us as Christians, the joy of hope and faith. To extol God is to encourage others to praise Him. Declaring the greatness of God brings true joy to the season and encouragement throughout the year.

We thank thee O Lord for thy wondrous works and implore thee to give us the desire to extol and honor You, your beloved son Jesus and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. Amen.
