Message from the Associate Grand Chaplain, I. Jack A. Holloway – Week 11

8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. Psalm 139:8-10

Companions,
The presence of God is a comforting thought. Wherever or whenever we are, He is there to uphold us and comfort us. Even though we know this, sometimes we need a helpful reminder from those around us. This was brought home to me at this year’s Grand Council Officer Installation. At the time of introducing our family and friends I said that I was alone and from the first row of a panoply of purple I heard a familiar voice telling me that I was never alone. We are all Brothers and Companions and we are each a Brother and Companion. A few words can carry a lot of meaning and to someone mean a lot.

Thank you O Lord God
For giving me friends who care.
Help me be a friend.
Amen

Jack A. Holloway
I. Associate Grand Chaplain
