If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5
Companions,
We usually ask for wisdom for a particular purpose. Solomon asked God for the wisdom to govern His people. In the Royal Council prayer Hiram asks God for wisdom enabling him to draw designs upon the trestle board. We all have duties we want to do well to glorify God. We also live with trials and afflictions that require the wisdom to enjoy the life He has given us. However; wisdom is not just practical choices but a way of life. Job had more tribulations than anyone and this is what he learned from God. Job 28:28 “And He said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.'”
We praise you and thank you LORD GOD for you have promised to teach us the way we should go, that you will counsel us and watch over us, and give us the wisdom to truly revere you. Amen.
