Richard I. Lanier, MEPGHP, Celebrates 100 th Birthday

Most Excellent Companion Richard Ivy Lanier, 33 o , M. E. Past Grand High Priest of Florida, turned 100 years old on September 23, 2016, and the Jacksonville Scottish Rite hosted a surprise birthday party for him at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center on September 24, 2016. Many Masonic Brothers, family and friends were there to congratulate Richard and celebrate the occasion with him and his wife, Evelyn.

Most Excellent Companion Richard is the oldest living M. E. Past Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Florida. He was the Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter in 1975.

Shown in the first picture is Most Excellent Companion Richard relaxing after a nice dinner and birthday cake. Seen in the second picture were Richard and his wife, Evelyn, seated and enjoying the moment. A wonderful turnout testified to the love and respect with which Most Excellent Companion Richard and his lady Evelyn are held by the fraternity and friends throughout the area.
