Palm Beach Commandery No. 18 Will Celebrate 100th Anniversary

Sir Knights,

Greetings to ye Knights to the South. This year Palm Beach Commandery No. 18 is celebrating its 100th Anniversary. In commemoration of this event, we are hosting a dinner program on Saturday, December 5 at 6:30 pm at Harmonia Lodge. This will be an open program and will be for all York Rite Masons, Masons interested in the York Rite (including EAs and FCs), and their wives, girlfriends, and family members.

Previously I spoke with R:.I:. Jon Macedon about having Ft. Lauderdale York Rite put on an educational program about the Knights Templar and/or York Rite Masonry that could be viewed by wives, etc. and he graciously accepted on their behalf. What I am envisioning is that we have dinner (with entertainment – piano player), then serve desert and have the educational presentation, then bring everyone into the Lodge room and join forces to conduct the Christmas Affirmation Ceremony.

We are going to provide the meal at no cost to our guests, but would like to get a head count of how many will be in attendance so we can prepare accordingly. Please notify your members, interested Brothers, and significant others, and let me know how many will be attending, and I will send you the designated number of complimentary tickets.

I’ll be in touch soon to discuss plans in more detail. I’m also trying to put together a flyer that can be emailed out to everyone. In addition to District 1, we are also planning to invite the Sir Knights from St. Lucie Commandery, since it is also their 100th Anniversary. Hopefully we can get 60-80 people and have a great event to commemorate this milestone in our history.

Thank you in advance for joining us in this celebration.

Fraternally,
S.K. William Owen
Eminent Commander, Palm Beach Commandery No. 18
