The Jacksonville York Rite Bodies held their Installations on January 5, 2017. Damascus Commandery No. 2, K. T. was installed first. Eric G. Cole was installed as Eminent Commander. Sir Knights and Ladies Gather for Christmas Observance in Jacksonville

Several Sir Knights and their ladies gathered for the traditional Knights Templar Christmas Observance at the York Rite Temple in Jacksonville on Sunday, December 11, 2016. Seated around the tables in a cross before the ceremony were clockwise from left: Steven Persinger, Generalissimo, Pilgrim Commandery No. 7 and Mr. Persinger; Randy Burkett, Sword Bearer, Damascus Commandery No. 2; Corbin Elliott, KYCH, KCT, PDDGC, Damascus No. 2; James Mast, Generalissimo, St. Augustine No. 10 and Mrs. Mast; Joseph Wright, Sr., Sentinel, Damascus No. 2 and Mrs. Wright; Christopher Lanham, Gen., Palatka No. 5, and Mrs. Lanham; and on the left at the head of the cross was Mrs. Eric Cole. Sir Knight Eric Cole, Gen., Damascus No. 2, is shown standing in the right, rear, with Steve Urban, Jr. EC, St. Augustine No. 10, acting as Prelate. Sir Knight Urban gave a very interesting, history-related story of how the birthdate of Christ came to be accepted as December 25th, and how the festival and holiday of Christmas developed into what it is today. District 3 Christmas Observance

District 3 Christmas Observance

District 3 York Rite of Florida held its Annual Christmas Observance ceremony at the Masonic Home on December 14, 2016. There were 21 Sir Knights in uniform and 20 other members and guests present.  Right Eminent Grand Commander Frederick Gerdom was part of the ceremony and delivered his response to the Grand Prelate’s toast. After the Observance, light refreshments were held in the Masonic Homes Ice Cream parlor and the Sir Knights visited with the residents of the home who were present for the ceremony. The Observance was also attended by several Grand Commandery Officers as well as one Past Grand Commander from Massachusetts/Rhode Island....

District 7 York Rite Meeting Held at Jacksonville on November 19, 2016

The District 7 York Rite Meeting was held at Jacksonville on Saturday, November 19, 2016. A great turnout of Companions, Sir Knights and ladies welcomed the Grand York Rite officers to the District for fellowship and Instruction. Pictured here first, were the Commandery Sir Knights, and second, the Chapter and Council Companions assembled after their meeting sessions. Shown also, M. E. Companion Richard I. Lanier, MEPGHP, was presented with 70 Year Membership certificates in each of the Y. R. bodies by the Grand Presiding Y. R. officers with local Y. R. representatives assisting. M. E. Companion Richard Lanier turned 100 years old in September this year. Companion Gordon Rehberg, with his wife, received a 50 Year Membership certificate from each of the York Rite bodies. Also, contribution checks from the local Y. R. bodies were presented to the Grand Presiding Y. R. Officers for the Grand body charities by the local presiding officers or representatives. M. E. Companion C. Robert Cooper, M.E.G.H.P. of the Grand Chapter, and Harry Eisenberg, R.E. Grand P. S., RARA Committee Chairman, received contributions for RARA. M. I. Companion Benjamin J. Holland, M.I.G.M. of the Grand Council, and Dayle L. Schrock, MIPGM, CMMRF Committee Chairman, received contributions for CMMRF. R. E. Sir Knight Frederick R. Gerdom, R.E.G.C. of the Grand Commandery received donation checks for the K. T. philanthropies. A great meeting was held with participation, learning and enjoyment all around....
