Northeast Florida York Rite College #114 Meets and Installs New Officers

Northeast Florida York Rite College No. 114 met in Jacksonville on May 13, 2017 for its Annual Assembly. R.E.D. Grand Governor Glenn E. Chandler made his official visit, and new officers were elected and installed for 2017-2018. Preeminent Companion Knight Paul James Mast was installed as Governor. Eminent Companion Knight Rudin “Rudy” Boatright was installed as Deputy Governor. And Eminent Companion Thomas A. Olsen was installed as Chancellor. The Treasurer & Secretary continued in their positions, and the remaining appointed officers were also installed. The Grand Installing Officer was Right Eminently Distinguished Brother Glenn E. Chandler, KYGCH, MEPGHP, R. I. Grand Principal Conductor of Work, Grand Council R. & S. M. of Florida; OPC, Grand Governor of Florida for the York Rite Sovereign College of North America. The Grand Installing Marshal was Very Eminently Distinguished Brother Darryl A. D’Angina, KYGCH, MEPGHP, OPC, Past Deputy Grand Governor of Florida for the York Rite Sovereign College of N. A. Palatka Commandery No. 5 Presents Flag Ceremony at Pineland Lodge

Richard I. Lanier, MEPGHP, Celebrates 100 th Birthday

Most Excellent Companion Richard Ivy Lanier, 33 o , M. E. Past Grand High Priest of Florida, turned 100 years old on September 23, 2016, and the Jacksonville Scottish Rite hosted a surprise birthday party for him at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center on September 24, 2016. Many Masonic Brothers, family and friends were there to congratulate Richard and celebrate the occasion with him and his wife, Evelyn. Most Excellent Companion Richard is the oldest living M. E. Past Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Florida. He was the Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter in 1975. Shown in the first picture is Most Excellent Companion Richard relaxing after a nice dinner and birthday cake. Seen in the second picture were Richard and his wife, Evelyn, seated and enjoying the moment.
